The plastic hoof block is a clean, fast and easy to use alternative to the commonly used wooden hoof block. With this new developed block and ease of application, the hoof trimmer can glue the cow block on the claw efficiently, no matter what the weather conditions are.
 
Usable on right and left claw by twisting the block 180 degrees
Spikes on the surface will ensure that enough glue (cement) is present between claw and block so fixation is ensured
Open structure allows you to see the spread of glue on the claw
In the winter, heat can be applied directly to the glue to speed the cure.
In the summer, the open structure allows the build-up of heat to escape from the glue.
Blocks remain glued on for over 6 weeks
 
Instructions for use
Balance the hoof creating a supporting surface. Heat the block and claw with a heating gun or torch.
Let the block cool down to not speedup the curing process of the adhesive.
Apply two parallel strips of adhesive on the block and place immediately on hoof aligning the straight side with the inner wall, leaving 0.2” protruding besides the heel. Check the correct positioning, speed up the glue dry process with a heating gun or hair dryer before release of the animal.
